I’ve been talking a lot about vaginas this week. And orgasms.

So, let’s keep it rolling!

When I got an IUD a few years back, because of a foreign object in my body and systemic inflammation, I began getting chronic yeast infections and bacterial vaginosis. My OBGYN, at the time, (YES, I FIRED MY VAGINA DOCTOR) just kept giving me antibiotics over and over. I knew this couldn’t possibly be healthy. On top of that, if you read my blog on birth control, you know that I am very passionate about the side effects of IUDs, shots and oral contraceptives.

(By the way, if you want a great book to help you get off the pill, the AMAZING Dr. Jolene Brighten, just released Beyond The Pill to help your body + hormones get back on track and heal!)

So, as this was happening, it got me to thinking… what else is happening down there that I am just not aware of? This is when I went down the rabbit hole and found clean tampons. Let’s keep this simple: if you’re not using organic cotton tampons, you are likely putting a ton of chemicals including bleach and perfume up in the MOST absorbent part of your body.

So now that I have terrified you, I have answers to your questions! Head over to The Platform Podcast and listen to my interview with the co- founder of Sustain, Meika Hollender.

In this episode, we talk through:

  • the importance of organic tampons, clean lube and non-toxic condoms
  • why she created the new period cup
  • why we all deserve orgasms (just WAIT til you hear what she is proposing on V day!)
  • the stigmas around sex + women purchasing condoms

Meika is giving all our listeners, 50% off their purchase by using the code MEIKA at checkout!

So enjoy this episode. I’m getting reviews all day long about how much women are LOVING this conversation. No filters and Meika drops bombs left and right.

Oh and don’t forget to get our Valentine’s Day Gift Guide! You can even print it out + give it to your honey so he doesn’t get you a gross box of Ralph’s chocolates… again.
